Example insights

Plain-English findings, not just a wall of numbers

Feudal Age

Your Feudal was 35s faster than the meta

Aggressive Archer Rush confirmed — you were in range ~1 minute before the average opponent.

Villager

5 extra villagers going into Castle

You banked econ while your opponent pushed. Pays off if you can survive their spike.

Loom

Loom delayed until 3:12

That’s 40s later than average — you may have dropped to 3 on straggler trees too long.

Market

No market activity before 25:00

Consider opening up trade earlier — a single buy/sell can salvage stuck resources.

Supported modes and privacy

Every ranked mode

RM 1v1, RM team, Empire Wars, and Death Match all supported — up to 8 players.

No account required

Processed in memory

Your replay is parsed server-side then discarded — we don't retain the file.

Game analysis FAQ

How replay parsing works, what's supported, and what we do with your file.

What file do I upload?
An .aoe2record file — the replay format Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition saves after every match. On Windows they live under Users/<you>/Games/Age of Empires 2 DE/<profile>/savegame/. You can also skip the upload entirely by searching a player and clicking any of their recent matches.
How does opening detection work?
We look at the units you built and the upgrades you researched during Dark and Feudal Age, then match them against signatures for Archer Rush, Scout Rush, M@A, Drush FC, Fast Castle, Tower Rush, and other common openings. A confidence score tells you how clean the match was.
What does 'compared to the meta' mean?
Every stat — age-up times, villager counts, unit composition — is benchmarked against ranked matches on the same map and in the same ELO bracket from our 10,000+ match database. You see not just your number, but where it sits relative to other players at your skill level.
Does it work for team games?
Yes. Team-game replays (2v2, 3v3, 4v4, and Empire Wars / Death Match variants) are fully supported. The head-to-head section switches to per-player grouped bars so you can still compare teammates.
Do you store my replay?
The replay file itself is parsed in memory and discarded after the response is sent. We do cache the extracted numeric summary so returning to the same match URL loads instantly, but the underlying .aoe2record is not kept.
Why is my match not showing in player search?
Player search pulls from the public ranked-match feed, which includes ranked 1v1 and team matches. Unranked lobbies, custom games, and scenarios won't appear — upload the replay directly instead.
