By accessing or using AoE2Meta ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. We may update these terms from time to time — continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

2. Description of Service

AoE2Meta is an independent statistics platform for Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition. We provide civilization win rates, opening strategy analysis, leaderboard data, map statistics, and match analysis tools. The Service is provided "as is" and is not affiliated with Microsoft Corporation or Xbox Game Studios.

3. User Accounts

• You may create an account using Google, Steam, or email/password registration.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You must provide accurate information during registration. We reserve the right to suspend accounts with misleading or false information.
• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account on AoE2Meta.
• You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed from our systems.

4. Data Collection & Privacy

• We collect your name, email address, and profile image when you create an account.
• We use your email solely for account verification and essential service communications. We do not send marketing emails.
• Player profiles, rankings, and match data displayed on this site are sourced from public APIs and are publicly accessible.
• We do not sell, share, or trade your personal information with third parties.
• We use anonymous analytics (Microsoft Clarity) to improve the site experience. No personally identifiable information is collected through analytics.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other user accounts or our systems.
• Scrape, crawl, or automated-harvest data from the Service beyond reasonable personal use without prior written permission.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, servers, or networks connected to the Service.
• Impersonate another person or entity.

6. Intellectual Property

Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition is a trademark of Microsoft Corporation. All game assets, including civilization icons and map images, are the property of their respective owners and are used here under fair use for informational and educational purposes. The AoE2Meta platform, its design, and original content are the property of AoE2Meta.

7. Data Accuracy

While we strive for accuracy, all statistics on AoE2Meta are derived from automated replay parsing and third-party APIs. We do not guarantee the completeness or accuracy of any data presented. Statistics should be treated as informational estimates, not authoritative records.

8. Limitation of Liability

AoE2Meta is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to data loss, service interruptions, or inaccuracies in statistics.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms of Service. You may stop using the Service at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
