The Aztecs are an aggressive infantry-focused civilization with one of the fastest-producing military units in the game. Villagers carry +5 resources, providing a significant economic advantage throughout the game. Their unique unit — the Jaguar Warrior — deals bonus damage against all infantry, making them exceptional in infantry mirrors. The Garland Wars technology gives all Aztec military units +4 attack, enabling devastating Imperial Age pushes. Aztecs also benefit from a free Loom and Monks with +5 HP per Monastery technology researched, making their religious game extremely strong. They are best on closed maps where their strong walls and powerful late-game army can shine.
