Migration

Migration starts players on small, resource-poor islands and forces them to relocate to a richer mainland. The early game is a race to find and claim the best mainland positions. Water civs that can transport quickly and eco civs that can boom on the mainland dominate. The relocation phase is chaotic and unpredictable. Expect frantic early games followed by standard land play on the mainland.
