Cenotes

Cenotes is an open map with shallow lakes and rivers that allow infantry and villagers to walk across, but block cavalry charges. The terrain creates natural funnels for raids and forces players to plan around water lines. Infantry-heavy civs and archer civs with good positioning excel. Civs reliant on pure cavalry mobility lose some efficiency because of the shallows. The map rewards mechanical players who can micro across multiple fronts at once.
