Arabia

Arabia is the most-played map in ranked Age of Empires II Definitive Edition. It is an open land map with sparse forests, predictable resource layouts, and very little terrain protection between players. This makes it the gold-standard test of pure micro, build orders, and Feudal Age aggression. Because there are almost no walls between bases, archer rushes, scout rushes, and Men-at-Arms openings dominate the meta. Civilizations with strong early military bonuses and reliable archer or cavalry lines tend to perform best, while pure boom or trash-unit civs often struggle. Expect 80%+ of high-level RM 1v1 matches to be played here, so Arabia win rates are the closest thing to a universal civ tier list in AoE2.
