Fortress

Fortress gives each player a complete pre-built stone wall around their starting position. This effectively eliminates Feudal Age aggression and forces a long boom into Castle and Imperial. Like Arena, big eco civs and unique-unit specialists dominate. Spanish, Turks, Byzantines, and Italians enjoy the extra time to set up their economy. Games tend to end in massive late-Imperial siege battles around the wall gates.
