Yucatan is a closed jungle map with abundant resources and limited open space. The dense forest cover makes early aggression difficult and favours booming. Infantry civs that can cut through jungle walls and eco-focused civs dominate. The rich resources enable fast Castle and Imperial timings. Expect long boom games with Imperial Age battles.
