Crater Lake places a large lake in the centre with elevated terrain around its rim. Players start on the outer slopes and must decide whether to fish the crater or focus on land. Hybrid civs benefit from the fishing economy. The crater rim creates elevation advantages for ranged units. Expect a mix of water and land strategies with elevation micro.
