Megarandom

Megarandom rolls a completely randomised map every game — it can be open land, dense forests, hybrid water, or anything in between. This makes it impossible to memorise build orders; players must read the layout in the first 90 seconds and adapt. Civilizations with broad utility — Mongols, Berbers, Khmer, Mayans — perform best because they have strong options across multiple unit types. Mono-strategy civs can get punished by hostile generations. Megarandom is the favourite of players who hate the predictability of Arabia.
