Northern Isles features multiple islands connected by thin land bridges in a cold, Nordic-themed setting. Water is present but the land connections mean naval isn't mandatory. Hybrid civs with flexible land and water play excel. The land bridges create natural chokepoints. Expect a mix of naval harassment and land-bridge battles.
