Valley

Valley places players on opposite hilltops with a wide valley running between them. Resources are split between the safe hilltops and the contested valley floor, forcing players to decide when to descend. Cavalry civs that can control the open valley thrive, while defensive civs can turtle on the high ground. The elevation changes create interesting archer micro dynamics. Expect Castle Age cavalry fights in the valley with hill retreats for regrouping.
